OLIVER WILKERSON

Obligatory "me" section.

I’m a programmer. Programming is all I'm programmed to do.

I love writing code. I love learning new languages. And I love creating something from nearly nothing, which is what code is anyway.

I build websites, kiosks, mobile applications, custom applications, server automation scripts, javascript applications, and all kinds of other things. The best part of it is I love what I do.

The result is a strong belief that things should be done “right”, not “good enough”. There is big difference between a person who “scripts” and one who “programs”. The scripter gets caught up in syntax. The programmer can build the system in any syntax.

In case you're wondering...

These are the mose common applications I use to make things happen:

Code:
vim, gedit, Sublime Text 2, Dashcode/ XCode, Notepad++, Visual Studio, Netbeans, FlashDevelop

Platforms:
Ruby on Rails, Logic Framework, .NET 3.5, Flex, jQuery, Prototype/Scriptaculous, Wordpress, (new to this) MODx, Magento, NopCommerce, osCommerce

Visual:
GIMP, Inkscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, (a little) After Effects, (a little) Lightwave 3D
